Section 73
Vandalism or loss of essential items, not to be damaged
(1) No one shall commit any offense under this paragraph and damage, vandalize or set fire to any thing or public or private property considered necessary according to the law, or use it to someone else or damage such thing or property by himself.
(2) A person who commits an offense under sub-section (1) shall be punished with an additional one year imprisonment or a fine up to ten thousand rupees or both.
(3) If there has been loss or damage to such item or property due to the offense as per sub-section (1), he shall also pay the compensation as per the above.
(4) If the person committing the offense under sub-section (1) is sure, the same person and if such person is not sure, the person who incites or orders to do such act shall be deemed to have committed an offence.
